Meso is committed to protecting your privacy. We process conversations intelligently while keeping your data secure and private.
Data Collection
- •Account Data: Username, email, and password for account creation and authentication
- •Expense Data: Parsed expense results including who paid, amounts, and balances
- •Conversation Processing: Conversations you paste/forward are processed temporarily for parsing but are NOT stored permanently
- •Usage Analytics: Basic analytics on app usage and feature usage (no personal data)
- •No Ads: We do not collect device IDs or serve ads
How We Process Your Conversations
- •When you paste or forward a group conversation, our system parses it to extract: who paid, who owes, and amounts
- •Raw conversation text is processed temporarily and then deleted - we only store the parsed results
- •Parsed expense data (amounts, names, balances) is securely stored and associated with your account
- •We do not use conversations for training, analytics, or any purpose beyond expense calculation
Data Usage
- •Your parsed expense data is used to calculate balances and provide expense tracking
- •Basic usage analytics help us improve app performance and features
- •Your data is never shared with third parties
- •You have full control over your expense records and can delete them anytime
Account & Data Security
- •Account login is required to access your expense data
- •All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- •Expense data is stored securely in our database
- •You can delete individual expenses or your entire account at any time
Data Retention
- •Your account and expense data are retained as long as your account is active
- •When you delete your account, all associated data is deleted within 30 days
- •Temporary conversation processing data is deleted immediately after parsing
